A Final Farewell to P7

15th Aug 2020

The P7 pupils enjoyed one final day in Darkley Primary School before they embark on the next stage of their education in St Patrick’s High School.
The day started with some preparation for their Confirmation Day which takes place on Sunday 16th August. This was followed by another workshop presented by REIM where the children had many opportunities to discuss their  thoughts around their move to post primary school.
To finish our day together and to wish our wonderful Primary 7 class good luck and farewell, staff and parents watched an iMovie reflecting each child’s journey through the school. A huge selection of photos and videos showed what a fantastic group of children they are. Each child was then presented with an individualised framed picture as a keepsake of their primary education in Darkley Primary School followed by the presentation of Pioneer Pins.
To complete our afternoon, each child released a balloon to signal the end of a chapter in his/her education.
Our whole school community wish our wonderful P7 children good luck in St Patrick’s High School. We know each one of you will flourish in everything you do. We are all so proud of you and your achievements, so it’s onwards and upwards as you enter Year 8.
