Science Week in Primary 1 & 2 was full of fun and discovery! Mrs Quinn’s class spent the week exploring why some objects float while others sink. Along the way, they learned some fantastic new vocabulary, including buoyancy and density, and what these impressive new words meant.
As part of a week-long project, the children put their learning into action by designing and building their own boats. We had great fun testing each one to see whether it would sink or float!
We also discovered that even the boats that sank helped us learn and record something new - and that’s the true beauty of science.
