Ooh la la for P6/7! π«π·
20th May 2026
Mrs Fitzpatrick’s Primary 6 & 7 had a fantastic ‘High School Taster Day’ today, exploring a couple of new subjects and topics that they will likely come across when they move on to secondary education.
The day began with learning a new language (French) and the pupils were so quick to grasp the new vocabulary! By break time, they amazed us by confidently standing up in pairs and holding conversations ‘en français’ π«π·
Then it was time for Science, where we explored chromatography, by creating beautiful patterns, before investigating water molecules and refraction. The pupils carefully recorded their findings and some of the results were very surprising!
The pupils took part enthusiastically in every activity and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was wonderful to see their confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm shining out.
