P4 Make Their First Holy Communion

18th May 2013
P4 Make Their First Holy Communion
On Saturday 18th May P4 pupils made their First Holy Communion in St Patrick's Keady. It was an extra special occasion because Darkley was in charge of the singing. Over the last few months, pupils from P3 to P7 have been rehearsing and preparing for the service. The children were a credit to the school and a great deal of thanks has to go to Miss Murray who organised and prepared the children impeccably for their Communion and singing. Another word of thanks must go to Gemma Prince who has been working directly with the whole school delivering a very exciting music programme. After the service, Darkley PS opened it's doors to welcome all our pupils and parents back to the school for professional photographs, tea, coffee, scones and treats. The school staff were there to welcome everyone and they provided a great spread for all. On Monday, the pupils brought their fantastic outfits into school and Miss Murray organised a very exciting cat walk for the whole school to enjoy. It was a very enjoyable show. Congratulations to all the P4 children on a very memorable day in their lives.
