Primary 5/6 had an exciting and educational day at the Tayto crisp factory on Wednesday! Our pupils learned all about the process in which potatoes are transformed into the delicious crisps that we know.
They followed the potato’s journey from being picked in the fields and delivered to Tayto Castle. They saw how the potatoes were then washed, peeled and sliced in specialist machines, before being shaped, seasoned and packaged for the shops. It was a really fun, hands-on experience filled with tasty discoveries and lots of smiles!
