P7 Pupils Attend an Ulster Orchestra Planet Earth Concert

On Wednesday 22nd of May, P7 pupils travelled to Newry Sports Centre and witnessed an amazing performance by the Ulster Orchestra. The theme of the concert was'Planet Earth' where the pieces of music reflected many aspects of our planet. They played famous pieces such as 'Sunrise' by Strauss and 'Greensleeves' by Vaughan Williams. There were other fantastic pieces such as 'Harry's Wonderous World', the theme tune to Harry Potter. There were over 600 pupils at the concert and the children all brought their own instruments which they had made from recycled materials. It was a real treat for the pupils to play alongside the Ulster Orchestra and the atmosphere was very special indeed. The P7 pupils had a spectacular experience and left the concert amazed by the sounds and array of wonderful instruments on show.
