Warning: Pharaohs on the Loose!
15th Apr 2026
Mrs Doyle’s Primary 5 & 6 class have been causing chaos across the school…Ancient Egypt style!
To celebrate the end of their World Around Us topic, on Ancient Egypt, our mini pharaohs silently paraded through the classrooms, wearing their spectacular handmade masks - and not a single word was spoken! Needless to say, it was gloriously creepy and just a little bit terrifying…
Inspired by Tutankhamun’s famous death mask, the children designed masks representing the Pharaoh as Osiris, God of the Afterlife.
Fun fact: the real mask was attached to the mummy using burial resins but, thankfully, no actual mummification was required for today’s lesson!
The pupils had a brilliant time sneaking around and challenging everyone to guess who was hiding beneath each golden masterpiece.
Can you spot your little Pharaoh behind the mask…? 👀✨
